Somatic Release (SRT) Therapy
Stress is something that is experienced and expressed in the body and is very unique to each individual. We can’t change the stress but we can influence our response to it. When we were young (and our nervous systems were young) we learned ways to cope and keep a sense of self in intense moments that were helpful and that served us at the time. At some point along the way, what once served us is no longer effective and keeps us trapped in past experiences or stuck on future projections. What becomes useful is releasing these old coping strategies, unwinding and finding more helpful pathways that keep us in this moment.

Yoga
In yoga, we listen to the body, there is no need to teach the body anything.
Yoga isn’t all about being flexible. It can be as simple as bringing your attention back to areas of your body, observing your strength and/or balance in certain shapes.
As a dedicated student to the philosophy of yoga, I love to share my passion through both Vinyasa (flow) and yin yoga classes. I have found that yoga has complimented physiotherapy beautifully in exploring the layers of the body, how they communicate and how one can nourish their own body and facilitate a more profound healing through the wisdom of this ancient art.
